Servolution Sunday // Georgia Team

Thank you to all who helped with our service project weekend (Servolution) and for the Georgia Team being with us again this year.

Servolution

Servolution is about our church, Nuevo Amanecer, serving our community through simple acts of kindness for the sole purpose of expressing the love of God to people in a practical way.

Easter season is around the corner. Let's take the opportunity to impact lives in our community and get the word out about Jesus and our church.

Also, a team from Georgia will be joining forces with us again this year, so let's pray and think about how we can practically serve and reach out to people and families in our community.

Ideas:

1. Adopt a Block -- Clean up an area, block that is in need of some love. Pick up trash, mow lawn, weed, paint, and general clean up.
2. Free Meal -- Cook and offer a free meal to those in need. Take a lunch bag to those working outside.
3. Cold Bottle Water Give Away -- Give out free bottles of water (effective on a hot day).
4. Reach out to Single Moms/Widows -- Help with chores, projects around the house, mow lawn, baby sit while she gets a little break.
5. School Supply Give Away -- Back packs, pencils, paper, etc., for those in need.
6. Free Auto Maintenance -- help those in need with their car maintenance and or problems.
7. Free Hair Cuts -- post up in the community and give a basic cut to those who can't afford a cut.
8. Absolutely Free Car Wash -- no strings attached, free car wash day.
9. Hospital Outreach -- offer comfort to people waiting in hospital waiting rooms: coffee, snacks, etc.
10. Serve Community Event -- volunteer for a clean up grew at a local community event.

These are just a few ideas. Let's come up with more and decide on the best ones to serve our community.

Fechas Importantes en Diciembre

Dec. 19th// "How Do Churches Grow" Conference given by a representative of the Florida Baptist Convention.

Time: 7pm at Nuevo Amanecer. Other Churches are being invited.


Dec. 20th Sat// Church-wide visitation in La Grange.

Time: 3-5pm. We are meeting at McDonald's in La Grange.


Dec. 21st Sun.// Christmas Celebration at Nuevo Amanecer. Baptisms of Alex Chapel; Manuel y Leticia Huerts. Comida following the service in the gym.

Time: 10am Bible Study. 11am Service.

Thanksgiving Outreach

Last Saturday, the Nuevo Amanecer Jovenes went to Redeemed Christian Ministries in West Louisville to help with Thanksgiving meals for those in need in the community.



The guys started off restocking the food pantry shelves.



The girls put together box meals for each of the families.





Frozen turkey's were passed out from this van outside the church.



And the jovenes also had some fun playing basketball as well.



Redeemed Christian's youth want a rematch when the weather warms up.



Thanks to all the jovenes for serving and doing a great job!
